Combination 1
Look over the left shoulder. Turn into left neko dachi, blocking
uchi uke with the left arm. Remaining in neko dachi, punch
chudan gyaku zuki with the right arm. Bring the right leg
up to the left leg, as you bring both arms back to your right
hip, fists closed, left hand on top.
Combination 2
Take the right leg out into right neko dachi, blocking uchi
uke with the right arm. Remaining in neko dachi, punch chudan
gyaku zuki with the left arm. Bring the left leg up to the
right leg, as you bring both arms back to your left hip, fists
closed, right hand on top.
Combination 3
Step forward on the right leg, into right zenkutsu dachi,
blocking chudan morote uke with the right arm. Step forward
into left zenkutsu dachi, blocking gedan juji uke (downward
cross block) with the fists closed. Pull both arms in towards
the chest, then push them up into jodan juji uke (upward cross
block), this time with both hands open.
Keeping the palm heels together, rotate the left hand over
the right hand. Drop the right leg back into kiba dachi (horse
stance), striking chudan testu with the left arm, bringing
the right arm back to the right hip.
Step forward on the right leg into right zenkutsu dachi, punching
chudan gyaku zuki with the right arm.
Kiai on the gyaku zuki.
Combination 4
Looking over the left shoulder, take the right leg around
towards 6 o'clock, dropping into kiba dachi (facing towards
3 o'clock) and blocking sieken gedan barai with the right
arm. Still facing towards 3 o'clock, bring the right leg up
into heisoku dachi (feet shoulder width). As you step up into
heisoku dachi, strike jodan tetsu with the left hand, bringing
the right hand back to the right hip.
Step through on the right leg, into right zenkutsu dachi.
Grip behind opponents head with the left hand, pulling it
into an empi strike with the right hand. Step the left leg
behind the right leg into cross-legged stance, striking uraken
uchi onto the bridge of the nose with the right hand. The
left fist should be held closed, supporting the right elbow.
Kiai on uraken uchi.
Combination 5
Step the left leg out behind. Turn briskly, jumping upwards
and landing in a crouched position, facing towards 3 o'clock.
Perform juji-block towards the opponents shin-level.
Step out towards 6 o'clock on the right leg, into right zenkutsu
dachi, blocking with morote uke.
Combination 6
Looking over the left shoulder, take the left leg around towards
10 o'clock. Step into left zenkutsu dachi. With the right
arm, motion as if gripping the inside of your opponents leg,
as you pull your left arm back to your right shoulder.
Envisage 'hooking' the leg and throwing, by pulling your right
arm back, above your head, and 'striking' with sieken gedan
barai to tori's hip. As the arm is pulled back, shift your
body weight back into kokutso dachi (back stance).
Combination 7
Final combination is the same as combination 6. Centralise
both feet, by bringing the left leg back into the right leg.
Then step out, towards 2 o'clock, on the right leg, into right
zenkutsu dachi. Grip the inside of opponents leg with the
left hand, bringing the right arm back to the left shoulder.
As you move back into kokutso dachi, sweep the right arm down
as in sieken gedan barai, pulling the left arm back above
the head, fist upwards.
End of Kata
Bring the right foot back alongside the left foot into heisoku
dachi, bringing the hands back to yoi.
